Monitoring the Mental Health Act 2011/2012
The CQC Mental Health Act Annual Report finds that throughout 2011/2012, there were 48,631 detentions (up 5%) and another 4,220 CTOs were issued (up 10%). 15% of people receiving care under the Act are not being involved in the dicisions made about their care.
