Aims
- To increase NHS staff awareness of Veteran mental health problems and needs.
- To provide ease of access to resources relevant to veterans and their families.
Obectives
- To ensure NHS staff in Lancashire have access to quality resources and information that will enhance awareness of the context of problems encountered by veterans and their families.
- To have clear pathways and referral routes for veterans to access timely and appropriate mental health services.
- To work closely and collaboratively with other agencies that support and work with veterans in the area for example Combat Stress.
- To develop our understanding and provision of the specialist skills and training required in working with local veterans and their families within local Primary Mental Health Teams.
